1. Coatings and Paints

High-purity barite powder serves as an excellent gloss control agent when formulating semi-gloss latex paints, automotive topcoats, industrial anti-corrosion paints, and architectural coatings. By precisely adjusting the addition ratio and particle size distribution (typically ranging from several hundred to several thousand mesh) within the resin matrix, the cured coating film achieves an elegant semi-gloss finish while enhancing the film's fullness.

2. Powder Coatings and Inks:

When used in powder coatings, it provides excellent leveling properties, uniform thickness, and consistent gloss levels.

3. Plastics and Papermaking:

Used as a filler in engineering plastics, white paperboard, and coated paper, it offers good surface coverage and whiteness while maintaining a soft, semi-gloss visual texture.

Product Characteristics:

1. High Density and Chemical Inertness: Specific gravity typically ranges from 4.0 to 4.6 g/cm³. Except for certain concentrated acids, it is insoluble in water and most acids or alkalis, and exhibits exceptional weather resistance.

2. Low Oil Absorption: This allows the coating or plastic to maintain good flowability and processability even with high loading levels.

3. Low Refractive Index: Its refractive index is close to that of organic resins; consequently, it does not easily mask the original color when added, allowing the pigment's vibrancy to be preserved.
